Experience

I'm Kim, and I love to teach as much is I love to learn. I spent 26 years in education, the majority of which was spent teaching special education. I've also been an adjunct instructor at the college level. I've worked with lots of different students of all ages and levels of ability, and I'm comfortable working with anyone. I'm skilled at teaching to students regardless of their learning style or any learning differences they may have. I also keep lessons active and engaging, encouraging students and motivating them to succeed. I like to use stories and related concepts we study to things students know, and I incorporate my sense of humor whenever possible. I can help students with algebra, reading, elementary math, English, middle school math, special education, and test preparation. In my free time, I like to cook, read, spin, draw, paint, and travel.
